  1. Usage: SET STATUS_MAIL <Status line text when you have mail>
  2.   The contents of STATUS_MAIL are replaced in the STATUS_FORMAT
  3.   variable for any occurence of %M while you get new mail.  The
  4.   STATUS_MAIL may contain occurences of %M which will be replaced
  5.   by the total number of mail messages you have.  If you have
  6.   no mail, %M is replaced by nothing in the STATUS_FORMAT.
  7.
